interface introduction

This video gives you an introduction into the layout and interface of Rhino.  We will show you how to navigate in 3D space and how you customize the layout similar to Autodesk's AutoCAD.  We have also included some very helpful "Introduction to Rhino" .pdfs as well.

These .pdfs are an excellent platform to start to develop you knowledge of the Rhino platform. These documents provide an introduction into the interface, and various commands that allow the designer to create both solids and surfaces.

These .pdfs also cover the documentation and rendering process which gives the designer the ability to communicate their design in a convincing manner.

page info:

To be an effective designer today, you need tools to quickly develop your designs and accurately communicate them to everyone in the product research, development, marketing, and manufacturing or construction process.

Rhino can create, edit, analyze, document, render, animate, and translate NURBS curves, solids and surfaces with no limits on complexity, degree, or size. Rhio also supports polygon meshes and point clouds.

-from the Rhino website

Rhino is the ideal platform for manipulating surfaces. Combined with a command line interface and the ability to convert closed surfaces into solids, Rhino provides an architect the ability to "free form" design with complicated surfaces without being hindered by software.

suggestions?

Is there a specific program that you use as an architect that we dont have on this site? Is there a process that you know of that is superior to one we showed in one of our videos. If yes then drop us a line here at our suggestions page.
