who i am
“The details of my life are quite inconsequential…”
– Dr. Evil
I am a 70’s baby born in North Little Rock, Arkansas, a graduate of the University of Arkansas’ School of Architecture, and have an uncanny ability to find humor in the damndest things. I am happily married to my best friend, Jill, and eagerly awaiting whatever the future has in store for us.
As a proclaimed “art nerd” in high school , I started my college career as an art major, basically not having a clue what the hell I wanted to do, draw pictures for a living? Come on! Early into this endeavor, I had complete renal failure and so, at the ripe old age of 18, I had my first kidney transplant; thanks dad! After a brief stint taking molecular cellular biology, the illusion that was my pre-med major, disappeared. Back in art, I took a Renaissance to Modern Art history class, when one day instead of a painting on the screen, up popped images of architecture, wow. So, as simple as that, I enrolled in the School of Architecture and the rest is history. So today I am actually drawing pictures, funny, and again starting over having had my 2nd kidney transplant on September, 9 2009; thanks aunt Connie!
”There are three classes of people: Those who see. Those who see when they are shown. Those who do not see.”
– Leonardo da Vinci
I am happy having the ability to show what I see. Using the latest design programs to convey information is no longer an option, but a must. Ideas are only as good as the images we display, and expectations are feverishly growing.
