who i am
I have lived in Heber Springs, Arkansas until attending ASMSA in Hot Springs, Akansas my junior and senior year of high school. At ASMSA I focused on computer sciences and formally began an education in CAD and 3D software. Even prior to this math and science school experience, I had a passion for understanding digital technologies.
It would be misleading to deny the role video games have played in fueling my fervor. In retrospect I've been actively attempting to design and explore environments and spaces that are emotive despite their digital state. Video games initiated this interest.
In the fall of 2009 I completed the professional architecture program at the Fay Jones School of Architecture. This program has taught me both how to see the world objectively and that design can affect how people behave and think. In my fourth and fifth years at the school I was able to revisit and embrace my long lasting interests in technology and apply them to design.
I believe dependence on digital processes in design is more than an inevitability. The ever-progressive development of how computational software, digital fabrication, and parametric software relate to design thinking will create invaluable intuitive and powerful tools. This is an necessary eventuality. I want to participate in the creation and dissemination of new design tools and processes.
