o we here at deprocess know for a fact that the highest performance professional workstations available for purchase are made by BOXX Technologies out of Austin, Texas. Their workstations are an industry standard when it comes to rendering, animation, and 3d modeling. We have used these computers at Autodesk University and been blown away by the performance that these machines can offer. So we try to keep in touch with the guys at BOXX on a regular basis to see what they are offering these days for a workstation solution. Well last week Rich Petit at BOXX gave us a call and sent us over these specifications for good student workstations. We know these builds might appear to be a little pricey but you need to realize that these machines will last you through the five years of Architecture school without breaking a sweat. We love these machines and if you are an architecture student you should buy one of the builds listed below, fact.

Here are the two builds that Rich at BOXX sent over to us.

These machines are ideal for frequency bound applications like Revit, and Rhino. These machines have the processor speed to work through any advanced geometry and the the graphics cards to ensure a fluid 3d working experience, while in those programs. These machines have the on-board expansion slots for expanding both RAM and hard drive totals. They also feature two full-size PCI slots for the insertion of additional GPU cards like the Nvidia Tesla and Fermi cards.

So if you are ready to order one of these machines, just send Rich Petit over at BOXX Technologies an email and he will hook you up. Be sure to tell him that William Burks at deprocess sent you his way, we would appreciate that.
